Chrysler has been the pioneer in the minivan game for 40 years, and they’re not slowing down. The 2024 models are here to carry on the tradition of innovation.
So, what’s the big deal? Well, the 2024 Pacifica is the first minivan that gives you the choice between a regular gas engine and a hybrid powertrain. And guess what? It’s still the only minivan out there with a plug-in hybrid option.
The Pacifica lineup is no slouch, either. You’ve got the top-of-the-line Pinnacle model that boasts the coolest interior in its class. If you’re all about all-wheel-drive, they’ve got you covered, and you still get the nifty Stow ‘n Go seating and the option for the Stow ‘n Vac system. And here’s a fun one: the FamCAM inside camera lets you keep an eye on those little ones in the back.
Oh, and did we mention it’s the first to integrate Amazon Fire TV into the Uconnect Theater System? Plus, it’s got the biggest sunroof in its class and some of the slickest seating and storage options around. You can fit up to eight passengers in there, and there are a whopping 243 seating setups for the Pacifica and 81 for the Pacifica Plug-In Hybrid.
Now, let’s talk about the Pacifica Plug-In Hybrid. This bad boy is the very first hybrid minivan and goes above and beyond with over 80 miles per gallon equivalent in electric mode, an electric range of more than 30 miles, and a total range of over 500 miles.
It’s all thanks to a fancy dual-motor eFlite electrically variable transmission and a tweaked 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 gasoline engine. Smooth as silk, and there is no need for you to fiddle with electric or hybrid modes. Plus, it can recharge the battery when you’re slowing down or braking, thanks to its regenerative braking feature.
As for what’s fresh in 2024, the premium Pacifica Pinnacle model gets a snazzy new sepia interior color, complete with sepia-quilted Nappa leather seats and some slick Light Diesel stitching and Sydney Gray piping. The Pacifica also adds two new exterior colors, Red Hot and Baltic Gray, and you can get the Pacifica Road Tripper Package in Baltic Gray.
